Book Two Promotion Starts Soon!

On July 10th through the 14th, the second book in the post-grid collapse thriller River Survival Series will be totally free.

Just go to All Hell Won't Wait and get your second book during that promotional period.

If you haven't read the first book in the series, you will have some questions on what is going on. Why are the Chicago Contributors and the Chicago Outliers intent on raiding Rivertown?

How does the Sheriff justify the extreme violence taken against squatters?

Why is Apache the violent man he is, given to dark passions?

I know summer is the time to get out and play. For those of you reading, hope you enjoy this series. Please leave a review for me at amazon.com. Thank you.

Who Is This Woman?

I started writing An End of Days two years ago. It began with a question: If TEOTWAWKI happened,  baring a natural world wide  explosion or local catastrophe, how long would it take us to find out, way  back in the mountains?
I based the main characters on the folks up in the Appalachian mountains. The villain was a neighbor. He didn't own a gun and took to  atrocities to sustain his family. He has since passed away. It sort of gave me the creeps because I killed him off in this book.

The protagonist, the main female character I gave flaws. She's an artist who has a soft heart. She gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, and isn't comfortable with firearms. After the grid goes down circumstances cause her to change dramatically.

She doesn't always trust her own judgment. She has a bad habit of leaving the keys in the ignition. Sometimes, her temper flares up and people suffer excruciatingly. She takes matters into her own hands, spontaneous combustion on a very personal way.

On June 14th, you can read this book free.

This promotion of the first book in The River Survival Series lasts for five days. If you have a Kindle Reader you can begin the journey in a post grid world where law and order belongs to the hands strong enough to grab it.

I'm really passionate about this series. If the world systems would ever collapse, it is those who possess old fashioned skills that will survive. There are no zombies in this series, just a mess of cannibals, brutal slavers, and a government bent on retaking control no matter what.

Read more about the how and why of this four book series on the page linked at the right side bar.

A final fifth book is in progress bringing a happy closure and twist after the devastating fourth book, No Storm Like This.

Book Four -No Storm Like This

Now available at both Barnes and Nobel and
I just finished Book Four of the River Survival Series. There's a lot of  violence, warfare, sex and alternative beliefs in this volume. As the federal government seeks to restore order seven years after the grid collapses, they implement horrific incentives to "inspire" citizens to capitulate to their demands.

If you haven't read the first three books, you'll be missing out on key scenes, which I refer to in book four. We have met and loved many colorful characters, found out how they evolved into the killing machines they are in this thriller, and see how they cope with the brutality of the new society.

Book One begins with a couple living in the back woods of Georgia. After the grid goes down, they must hold their own against the local townsfolk trying to take over. Eventually, Carla Hunter must make her way north, alone, to reunite with family.

Book Two takes place in a small community along the Mississippi River. Hunter and her family assimilate, but must fight enemies from Chicago who plan a devastating raid.

Book Three sees the beginning of the spring campaign against American citizens who have recreated a working society apart from the federal government. Our beloved River Patrol goes through some internal fighting, the Sheriff proves he can handle it.

The Villan Dies

Back in Georgia, the guy who served as the villain of my first novel, AN END of DAYS, has died. He didn't know I patterned Jack Trader after him, never knew he ended up living in Chicago, working for the Contributors, selling out his one time neighbor, Carla.

He didn't know he eventually was cannibalized. This neighbor lived up on the hill behind us. He died at age 65, not really so bad, because really he didn't live very healthy.

You can find this book at  Amazon.com  along with the next two in the series.

I kind of felt bad making him the villain and now he's dead. His wife is still alive, back in the woods.
They still have the same set up I used in the fictional book.
